Hilton brings Motto brand to Japan with 108-room Kyoto hotel opening in 2029

In Kyoto, Hilton’s account is readied to expand to seven hotels across numerous brands, featuring an upcoming Curio Collection by Hilton real estate.

Hilton at present runs 13 Motto resorts, with over 24 hotels under development. Recent openings included real estates in Brazil and Nashville, U.S.A., whilst the group has also inked agreements for properties in Paris, Shanghai and Sydney.

This is going to be the initial Motto by Hilton property in Japan. The hotel will include an all-day dining restaurant and a lounge with a free balcony.

Hilton is collaborating with Heiwa Real Estate Co to start Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma. The 108-key hotel will start in 2029.

“As part of our attempts to realise our long-term vision, WAY2040, we are expanding our hotel service as a new area of development,” claimed Kiyoyuki Tsuchimoto, the business’s representative director, president and CEO.

“Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma will give a new, locally rooted hospitality experience that motivates gathering, developing a brand-new kind of visit for guests looking to immerse themselves in Japan’s social capital,” claimed Alex Shockley, Hilton’ top director, lifestyle and collection brands for Asia Pacific.

The hotel is going to be a two-minute walking from Shijo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Metro Karasuma Line and Karasuma Stop on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. This is going to allow visitors convenient transport accessibility to preferred Kyoto destinations including Nishiki Market, the well-known Gion and Higashiyama locales, and retail offerings in the Shijo Kawaramachi location.
